Pizza and Tagging: Tree

I pass by this house everytime I walk home from the mall.
I really enjoy all the windchimes and glass orbs that decorate this house... which unfortunatly are very difficult to see in the dark, even with flash.
So I decided to add to their very decorative home.
I was attempting to create a rainbow piece, by I didn't have enough colors in my small yarn collection. I went with as many colors of the rainbow as I could for this piece. I like to think it has it's own unique charm, if not rainbowy.
And thus concludes my midnight adventures in tagging.

Pizza and Tagging: Bike Rack Bank Attack!

I guess I should explain why these entries are called pizza and tagging.
See, I did these with my gf on the way to Safeway to grab a pizza.
I had a hard day. Pizza is comfort food for me.
Tagging is comfort activity too.
So on our way back from getting pizza and some groceries, I did this adorible little tag on the bike rack at the TD Bank.
I hope it amuses some people who lock up their bike over the weekend (and hopefully longer!).
Anyways, Enjoy

Pizza and Tagging

Ok, so honestly, my biggest set back with tagging for pretty much all of march was weather.
It has been raining and colder in March than all of January and February.
April isn't starting off any better, but gosh darnit I wanted to tag something!
So I'll start with the first one I did this evening: The redo Bus stop tag!
If you look back to the entry Feeling Blue, you'll see the first attempt at tagging the bus stop by my house. It lasted a little while, but I was sure that it's flimsy attachment was part of it's early demise. So this time, I fully crochetted it to the poll.
Thus why the picture is dark. I finally tagged under the cover of darkness. Very ninja.
So yeah, enjoy.

Feeling blue

So I was feeling a little down that I haven't done a tag lately. To be honest, I haven't done much of anything lately.
But I am hoping to turn it around! And I started with this blue beauty.
Now, I know that it doesn't look perfect (the bus was coming!), but it's the thought that counts. And I really quite enjoyed trying out some new things with my crochetting and tagging.
I hope you enjoy!

Tag around another town: The final chapter

So for my last tag, I went for artistry. Haha, not really, but what I liked about this tag was the no posters allowed. I should have dragged the tag up and covered it, but I like that in the face of saying I can't put posters up, I put Yarn Graffiti up instead.

This was just off Whyte ave in Edmonton's south end.

I think this might just be my favorite one so far.

Tag around another town: Part less than 3

So I feel like this next tag was a little rebelious. I was on an Edmonton public transit bus with a group of my friends, and decided to tag the bus. Knowing full well that the tag would be gone probably by the end of the day, I decided to do it anyways.
Antiestablishment!

Personally, I thought the red complimented the blue of the bus nicely.

Tag around another town: Part Deux

More tags from my lovely reading break vacation.

This one I did at West Edmonton Mall. I was looking for a really good place to drop a tag, but I couldn't really find one. I had this simple two stitch tag, so I decided to put it around the pay phone. Check out the ice palace in the background.

Bit of a lame tag, I know. But I am just starting out, so I like trying all kinds of things. Maybe some day I can have a tag on everything.

Tag around another town

So I recently went on vacation to Edmonton. I know, Edmonton in February, when I live in sunny B.C. Silly right? But I have some friends there; Friends that thought my Yarn bombing was so awesome.
So I managed a couple of tags while I was there.

The first one I did was on a fire hydrant near my friends place. I think fire hydrants should be red, so I made it a lil redder.

Spur of the moment!

So while I was listening to lecture today in class, I decided to whip up a quick little tag from my lecture hall.

This was my first actual out in the public tag. I didn't label it as my own, but I felt so happy seeing it tucked under the chairs.

This is the first of many quick little tags. I am going on vacation soon and hope to get shots of tons of cute lil ones all over!

Enjoy!

First entry, First Tag

Hello Internet,

Like many people, I recently had the pleasure of coming in contact with the book "Yarn Bombing: the art of crochet and knit graffiti". The concept of knit graffiti or yarn bombing thrilled me and I was immediately compelled to start in on the fun myself.

So under my tag name Grandmother's Legacy, I have started tagging up the world.

I hope you enjoy my work and are inspired to knit the world a better place.
