<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GivzlmFL57E/XIW-adMK7DI/AAAAAAAABew/4nI2XMNaiNAxlObXE02heREqjmz6TsVigCLcBGAs/s1600/july%2Baugust%2Bphone%2Bpulls%2B334.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1007" data-original-width="1007" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GivzlmFL57E/XIW-adMK7DI/AAAAAAAABew/4nI2XMNaiNAxlObXE02heREqjmz6TsVigCLcBGAs/s320/july%2Baugust%2Bphone%2Bpulls%2B334.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I gotta tell you, I ended up with blisters hauling this thing around all day, but it was super worth it! I had an amazing day MCing the event!<br />
In case you didn't know, or haven't read my previous posts about the Fibrations festival, it's a local event put on by Knotty by Nature, a local fiber store. Ryan and Steph and members of the community (like myself) come together to create the magical fiber day!<br />
There's dozens of vendors, and every year I get to meet a lot of amazing and talented people. It's a fantastic blast!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ioz8KK2oAxg/XIW_W6dkdNI/AAAAAAAABe8/-f4NtPj1nXMz5rl7uu4yRqJBXmn4OwxjwCLcBGAs/s1600/july%2Baugust%2Bphone%2Bpulls%2B324.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="540" data-original-width="540" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ioz8KK2oAxg/XIW_W6dkdNI/AAAAAAAABe8/-f4NtPj1nXMz5rl7uu4yRqJBXmn4OwxjwCLcBGAs/s320/july%2Baugust%2Bphone%2Bpulls%2B324.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The (highly white, upper end of middle aged) community out in full force at the event! There were so many people this year! Maybe not the most ever, but I was so happy with the turn out!<br />
<br />
Anyway, it was an amazing day! I was given a bunch of gifts from just wonderful vendors simply for being a great MC and information person!<br />
Here's a photo of all the goodies I picked up!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VEUqc9mBJcw/XIXA18H6pqI/AAAAAAAABfI/zoh0b_95W68UKK8q2f3pP8jMb0Vxmpv1gCLcBGAs/s1600/july%2Baugust%2Bphone%2Bpulls%2B331.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1600" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VEUqc9mBJcw/XIXA18H6pqI/AAAAAAAABfI/zoh0b_95W68UKK8q2f3pP8jMb0Vxmpv1gCLcBGAs/s320/july%2Baugust%2Bphone%2Bpulls%2B331.jpg" width="319" /></a></div>
The black and rainbow is called "Unicorn Farts" and comes from Spunwareovertherainbow (which is just the best name run by the kindest human!). And she GAVE me this wonderful skein!! I nearly died!<br />
Then there's some books (Zines) by Caitlin Ffrench. She specializes in botanical dyes and inks, for yarn and paper and what have you. KBN paid half the fee for me to be able to take her class, and it was spectacular! I learned so much and now have some inks and watercolors made from all natural materials like seeds, barks, pieces of iron and metals!<br />
Then Christian from Hypnoknits gave me the patch. You can't read it but it says "There is no gender in fiber craft" and it makes my heart soar!<br />
Then I got this incredible coloring books from a vendors husband. He loves making coloring books! And I love coloring! So he gave me these! And then I bought an enamel pin from Black Cat yarns<3 p=""> and small bundled yarn there from Black Cat Yarns. The yarn is called "Unicorn Farts" as well haha!<br />
Then I bought the little yarn crafting octopus enamel pin because it was just waaaay too cute not to.<br />
The pink Joma yarn (now Subculture Yarn) was part of a project, where the proceeds went to help someone... with.. something... I forget, but as soon as I saw her post about it, I knew I needed to pick it up, to help the cause and to get this gorgeous pink!<br />
Then I won the rest of the things! The amazing "Lite Brite" by Black Cat Yarns, two random crochet bowls (I felt bad for the artist as they did not have many tickets for their item), a bag of knit baby items (so do not remember entering for this... pretty sure the tickets got mixed up but whatever haha).<br />
I also picked up a quilted pillow from Rosalie, a friend of Dela's (and honestly myself) for Lex's mom Cathy for xmas!<br />
So yeah, just one of the best Fibrations yet! Can't wait for next year!</3>Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com11350 Fairfield Rd, Victoria, BC V8S 1E4, Canada48.415079347781472 -123.3463015179687548.412444847781472 -123.35134401796876 48.417713847781471 -123.34125901796875tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-85101983496291553622018-07-07T18:44:00.000-07:002018-08-24T18:54:05.825-07:00Tiny Tina Belcher Does Roller Derby!After some of my friends saw my Bob's Burgers yarnbombing for IYBD, I got a commission to make a Tina Belcher doll for a roller derby star who is named after Tina Belcher, Tina F. Lawless. It's fun to watch her play! And to yell GO FLAWLESS!!<br />
Anyway, when I got the commission, I was so excited! I always get a thrill when people actually like what I do!<br />
So I got to working on the doll, so I could bring it to the next derby match.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2rVc2pFexn0/W4C1Sn1zX7I/AAAAAAAABd4/WEthc3ipk3AAQ8bb41L_0jUYkp18nqgQQCLcBGAs/s1600/Tina%2Bbelcher%2Bdoll.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="956" data-original-width="768" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2rVc2pFexn0/W4C1Sn1zX7I/AAAAAAAABd4/WEthc3ipk3AAQ8bb41L_0jUYkp18nqgQQCLcBGAs/s320/Tina%2Bbelcher%2Bdoll.jpg" width="257" /></a></div>
BUT! I wanted to do something special, a kind of bonus. I was just so happy to be commissioned!<br />
I made Derby gear for Tina!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I'm so happy with how it turned out!<br />
And the look on Flawless's face when I gave it to her, priceless! She was just so thrilled with it and the surprise skates and Derby gear.<br />
All around success!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-24652915118399662792018-06-12T16:11:00.000-07:002018-06-12T16:13:59.186-07:00International Yarn Bombing Day 2018So, if you google IYBD, it says that the day is June 11th every year, regardless of when it falls during the week. There are other people that celebrate it the same day as World Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKIPD), which is the second Saturday in June (I think).<br />
Either way, I don't think the date means as much as it used to. I think the idea remains tho. Some people and some groups are still doing it, but yarn bombing as a whole seems to have passed out of popularity.<br />
I still enjoy it a lot. It's still my favourite thing to crochet.<br />
<br />
So a bit of back story with this years yarn bomb.<br />
When I ride the bus home, the bus has this thing that talks and announces the road that you're about to be at. Near my house, there is a road called Belcher Ave. Every time I would go past it, I would laugh to myself, thinking about Bob's Burgers and the Belcher family. Then it dawned on me that I should do a Bob's Burgers yarn bomb for IYBD.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OCC72HvF5Zg/WyBPTYvhmFI/AAAAAAAABcw/liZwfrYCy9QObm3Sb9gN-rkZfRtUb84mgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_20180612_140829634.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="429" data-original-width="800" height="171" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OCC72HvF5Zg/WyBPTYvhmFI/AAAAAAAABcw/liZwfrYCy9QObm3Sb9gN-rkZfRtUb84mgCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_20180612_140829634.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I didn't end up doing Gene, cause there were only two street signs and cause I ran out of time (I mostly did not start soon enough, like I do every year pretty much).<br />
I am really proud of my Tina and my Bob. I really like his apron.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hIGC_GNpG14/WyBQIVQRl2I/AAAAAAAABc4/pg8SYg1Bt2AxJsFhv-WF1N3uNWXVgPi8ACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_20180612_140906002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="509" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hIGC_GNpG14/WyBQIVQRl2I/AAAAAAAABc4/pg8SYg1Bt2AxJsFhv-WF1N3uNWXVgPi8ACLcBGAs/s320/IMG_20180612_140906002.jpg" width="203" /></a></div>
So today (which to be fair, is neither WWKIPD or June 11th), I walked down to Belcher Ave and yarn bombed it!<br />
First, I put Tina and Louise at one end.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FnHW9LpF4cg/WyBQu643XSI/AAAAAAAABdA/f36JQSPAmjgOll74vfWQzYCczMSJOopTwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_20180612_143504691_HDR.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="439" data-original-width="800" height="175" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FnHW9LpF4cg/WyBQu643XSI/AAAAAAAABdA/f36JQSPAmjgOll74vfWQzYCczMSJOopTwCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_20180612_143504691_HDR.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
And then I put Bob and Linda at the other end.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UiGBduHrzms/WyBRGgQTMZI/AAAAAAAABdM/rs-ynQwJStA6-saYlE87X0tc6SUMv7TLgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_20180612_143926309_HDR.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="656" data-original-width="600" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UiGBduHrzms/WyBRGgQTMZI/AAAAAAAABdM/rs-ynQwJStA6-saYlE87X0tc6SUMv7TLgCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_20180612_143926309_HDR.jpg" width="292" /></a></div>
Bob and Linda did not go up as easy as Tina and Louise. But I feel like this was a successful yarn bomb!<br />
I think I will keep dong IYBD, so long as I can keep coming up with ideas. I still have to do my library lego man idea. Even if all I do is one yarn bomb a year, I wanna still keep doing it as much as I can. I love my crochet Belcher family.<br />
<br />
<br />
P.S. Did you know that my granny squares are still up at Knotty by Nature? <a href="https://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.com/2012/01/knotty-by-nature-welcoming-bomb.html" target="_blank">from 2012?</a> I grabbed another photo when I was there on Saturday. Can you believe the comparison?? I mean, it has been 6 years. I'm still so happy they're still there.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-85695058077639036852017-06-11T23:03:00.000-07:002017-06-11T23:03:11.086-07:00International Yarn bombing day 2017Well, I didn't get a chance to do anything for IYBD this year.<br />
To be honest, I feel like the event has really lost steam. I didn't see any Facebook events for it from the creator or any of the organizations that took it up in the past couple years. There weren't even a lot of posts on Instagram.<br />
But that's ok. Yarn bombing has taken on many different guises over the years since it's original inception, and yarn art is a constant evolving thing.<br />
I did however participate in Worldwide Knit (and crochet) in Public Day, which was June 10th.I couldn't remember if IYBD took place on the Saturday or Sunday of the 9th, 10th, or 11th weekend in June, so it was nice to at least be involved with some kind of yarn event for this weekend.<br />
It took place in my community at Knotty by Nature, a wonderful fiber arts store that has always been great to me. I help them out whenever I can, and the owners are truly kind to me.<br />
When they first opened up, their new shop (they moved from downtown Victoria to out by Ross Bay Cemetery) in 2012, I welcomed them to their new location by yarn bombing their store location. You can see the post I did about it from back then <a href="http://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.ca/2012/01/knotty-by-nature-welcoming-bomb.html" target="_blank">here</a>. They came in the next day to see that I had left them a wonderful yarn bombed store and they were super excited and happy about it. They did their best to maintain a number of the pieces for as long as they could.<br />
So imagine my surprise when I discovered that one of the pieces is still there! After 5 long years, plus a little bit more, it's still there! Incredibly weather worn, much like the hearts from my last post.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uPzDkOGS9XQ/WT4s2SAjwzI/AAAAAAAABcA/kxtVB80ZRbgZWraJgLa1dfhQIoC0XLxdwCLcB/s1600/IMG_20170610_132140727_HDR.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="512" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uPzDkOGS9XQ/WT4s2SAjwzI/AAAAAAAABcA/kxtVB80ZRbgZWraJgLa1dfhQIoC0XLxdwCLcB/s320/IMG_20170610_132140727_HDR.jpg" width="204" /></a></div>
I am amazed that any of the color has remained. It's obviously super weathered.<br />
It brought my heart such joy to see it there tho. And to see so many people attending the worldwide knit it public event.<br />
While I didn't put out a crazy awesome epic yarnbomb for IYBD, so many of the people I knew commented on the epic one I did at the park across the way for IYBD in 2012, my second year participating, where I made the <a href="http://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.ca/2012/06/international-yarn-bombing-day-2012.html" target="_blank">incredible crocheted picnic</a> for Hollywood park. So if nothing else, it is great to be remembered for one of my best works. I hope to do another epic feast of crochet food someday. It is by far one of my favorite things to make out of yarn and really all fibers (I enjoy my needle felted sushi too). In fact, I was crocheting a hotdog for a friend during the worldwide knit in public day event!<br />
I hope you enjoy all these throw back pieces I have been discovering. Hopefully I will continue to yarnbomb in the future, even if it has largely gone out of style.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-76219124957421484522017-04-15T20:25:00.000-07:002017-04-15T20:25:31.591-07:00Unbelievable So I went to visit my friends that I haven't seen in a while. <div>
Time gets away from me. This blog is a classic example, but I still post!</div>
<div>
Anyway, I was just walking down the street and happened to glance over at the fence I was passing.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It was then that I noticed the hearts on the fence. Worn, weathered and not at all in the red hue anymore really, but still there!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
You may remember the hearts from <a href="http://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.ca/search/label/hearts" target="_blank">this post</a>.</div>
<div>
But here they are 5 years later!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9FKf7Ay5E-o/WPLjAInan_I/AAAAAAAABbg/V8ae3ZbmP5YTq89fQg86YG1KZxUnkvKKQCLcB/s1600/hearts%2Byarnbomb%2B5%2Byears%2Blater%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9FKf7Ay5E-o/WPLjAInan_I/AAAAAAAABbg/V8ae3ZbmP5YTq89fQg86YG1KZxUnkvKKQCLcB/s320/hearts%2Byarnbomb%2B5%2Byears%2Blater%2B2.jpg" width="286" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I cannot believe they are still there... </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You can see that Danika's heart (top most, right most heart) has survived the best, but the pink heart looks pretty good. And still pretty pink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VcPMCysfs-c/WPLjAA56OrI/AAAAAAAABbo/KKai868f9t4BwL7I-5FyC-Rkx1kyMXDvgCEw/s1600/heart%2Byarnbomb%2B5%2Byears%2Blater.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VcPMCysfs-c/WPLjAA56OrI/AAAAAAAABbo/KKai868f9t4BwL7I-5FyC-Rkx1kyMXDvgCEw/s320/heart%2Byarnbomb%2B5%2Byears%2Blater.jpg" width="250" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My first one, the top left most, is even still there! Wow.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So this is clearly my oldest yarnbomb to survive. It gives me an odd kind of motivation to get back into yarn bombing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm still in the middle of health issues, so I dunno when I can get back to it, and I have other yarn related activities I would love to get to, but I still really love yarn bombing.</div>
<div>

I enjoy bad puns.<br />
<br />
Anyhow!<br />
I finally finished my Portal Turret blanket! You may remember it from my <a href="http://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.ca/2015/06/2015-ketchup.html" target="_blank">2015 ketchup post</a> where I had recently been to Fibrations and trying my hand at all kinds of fiber crafts.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It is kinda hard to get a good photo of my blanket, as there is no surface in my new place that is big enough to take a photo of it all laid out.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As you can see here, it's smooshed up against various things in my living room. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-puMmo8m08yc/V4z83BsfBII/AAAAAAAABaw/JAkEk_duGO0mwm9p_Sp_NnslKYJyYnGawCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160717_090404.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="319" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-puMmo8m08yc/V4z83BsfBII/AAAAAAAABaw/JAkEk_duGO0mwm9p_Sp_NnslKYJyYnGawCLcB/s320/IMG_20160717_090404.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

<br /></div>
Here the blanket is on my bed. It's a queen sized mattress, so I guess it's a queen sized blanket!<br />
I know, I know, the ends aren't weaved all in. But if you look closely at the top half, I have done some! It's a lot of little work.<br />
I also think I want to crochet around the edges to really tie the whole thing together. Give it a nice border.<br />
<br />
I will also be backing it with a lovely fabric that I found at <a href="http://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/3825074-portal-turret-by-rlfedun?iref=clk-xs-fab-by" target="_blank">Spoonflower</a>, just as soon as I can afford several feet of it.<br />
<br />
So yes! This is Portal blanket was 672 squares of awesome! 21 by 32 squares. SO MANY SQUARES!! I think next I would love to do the companion cube blanket. Interestingly enough, I chose to do the turret over the cube initially because the cube was more squares. But when I decided to turn the turret into a whole blanket (all the light blue squares you see), it ended up being a bunch more! So now the companion cube blanket doesn't seem as daunting. This one only took about 18 months on and off.<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoyed seeing my lovely blanket.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-30164173163995733942016-06-11T22:16:00.000-07:002016-06-12T00:20:05.847-07:00International Yarnbombing Day 2016 - Where's Waldo?This year, international yarnbombing day snuck up on me again. But unlike last year, I remembered in time! I remembered with about two weeks to spare, just as I got a new job.<br />
<br />
So I wanted to do something cool, but something I could execute in a reasonable amount of time.<br />
<br />
Perfect opportunity to do my Where's Waldo project!<br />
<br />
So I spent two weeks cranking out a Waldo based off the very first book from 1987, where Waldo has 12 accoutrements that he loses throughout the book! So I made a Waldo with a cup, snorkel, binoculars, kettle, sleeping bag, shovel, backpack, camera, hammer, bag, belt and walking stick.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-d8pl4xIbFd0/V1z9fiPKuRI/AAAAAAAABV0/1ZE3wDMNYPEG5zdQjBx3Gs602TK4q5SQACLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_241248769.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-d8pl4xIbFd0/V1z9fiPKuRI/AAAAAAAABV0/1ZE3wDMNYPEG5zdQjBx3Gs602TK4q5SQACLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_241248769.jpg" width="253" /></a></div>
<br />
The plan was to wander around downtown Victoria and take pictures of random, not necessarily easy to guess locations and have Waldo lose an item at each one. I sorta did that, and chronicled it on Instagram.<br />
<br />
First, I stopped at Terroir, the amazing tea salon on Fort st. They were having a tea tasting with the tea harvester from Taiwan.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CKFxUSs37hI/V1z_OhZ25WI/AAAAAAAABWA/USJfXVkvgeACnSnknfs0rB9AQINYOR7nACLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_123302005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CKFxUSs37hI/V1z_OhZ25WI/AAAAAAAABWA/USJfXVkvgeACnSnknfs0rB9AQINYOR7nACLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_123302005.jpg" width="224" /></a></div>
<br />
I enjoyed amazing teas, done at different temperatures than normal, and there were so many different flavors! I digress, but it was delicious.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Mdxg7M5Aj7k/V1z_llcX5WI/AAAAAAAABWI/gfU_rDXUbUo3VRnYvwhM5J73ceVhapvggCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_123556089.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Mdxg7M5Aj7k/V1z_llcX5WI/AAAAAAAABWI/gfU_rDXUbUo3VRnYvwhM5J73ceVhapvggCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_123556089.jpg" width="315" /></a></div>
<br />
Waldo left his cup behind after we enjoyed our tea.<br />Next, we ended up in Centennial Square. Waldo decided to try out his snorkel in the pool.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-f2gTp5uOius/V10BFfB-1TI/AAAAAAAABWY/4Uw9YECKnGAsaSHDyahH4xTVeScvp3dRQCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_132307300.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-f2gTp5uOius/V10BFfB-1TI/AAAAAAAABWY/4Uw9YECKnGAsaSHDyahH4xTVeScvp3dRQCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_132307300.jpg" width="227" /></a></div>
<br />
But then he left his snorkel there as we headed off to the next venue.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9rGNsEMmISE/V10BK-wsYHI/AAAAAAAABWg/Ggzet3VMJuE9lT3YnYPJRhIGulta2a8kQCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_132348734.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9rGNsEMmISE/V10BK-wsYHI/AAAAAAAABWg/Ggzet3VMJuE9lT3YnYPJRhIGulta2a8kQCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_132348734.jpg" width="210" /></a></div>
<br />
We decided to get some chocolate from this awesome chocolate shop just off Fan Tan Alley. Waldo was using his binoculars to look around the shop, put them down, and promptly forgot them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iQ7-o187tWk/V10BQi9-NEI/AAAAAAAABWo/6tfZf6-Jc0c1EEXhEMYG4CiLEPAVk3ATgCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_135816.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-iQ7-o187tWk/V10BQi9-NEI/AAAAAAAABWo/6tfZf6-Jc0c1EEXhEMYG4CiLEPAVk3ATgCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_135816.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
After our delicious chocolates, we crossed Market Square and headed onto LoJo. We ducked into the shopping arcade, where there's a secret garden Waldo and I hung out in.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rolsDgvLGCc/V10BY_kBznI/AAAAAAAABWw/rOI_dcmNaAcAt4_A4n7_CWEZjzSafx7VwCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_135157541.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rolsDgvLGCc/V10BY_kBznI/AAAAAAAABWw/rOI_dcmNaAcAt4_A4n7_CWEZjzSafx7VwCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_135157541.jpg" width="211" /></a></div>
<br />
Waldo thought this would be the perfect place to make some tea. He took out his kettle and was half way through before I told him that he couldn't do that here!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q1uNX9WZhuI/V10BfYIeuGI/AAAAAAAABW4/VH9TaV65RpgLFYKz3_H4ccuk8bRziYtcwCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_135240299.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q1uNX9WZhuI/V10BfYIeuGI/AAAAAAAABW4/VH9TaV65RpgLFYKz3_H4ccuk8bRziYtcwCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_135240299.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(This picture is a real "where's Waldo")</div>
<br />
He ended up forgetting his kettle. I feel kind of responsible for that one.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2fBsFmvkUow/V10DbRYaLKI/AAAAAAAABXI/RysxD7oSpyEuCJoYPadOhi8J1zoxiY_0wCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_135508530.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2fBsFmvkUow/V10DbRYaLKI/AAAAAAAABXI/RysxD7oSpyEuCJoYPadOhi8J1zoxiY_0wCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_135508530.jpg" width="189" /></a></div>
<br />After we left the arcade, Waldo mentioned being hungry. I decided we should head to Trounce Alley and eat some tapas.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aSM4tFf5pxU/V10DmdlJG8I/AAAAAAAABXQ/AUbEviEQb_kwnvMzuNPrA1YM_t7Q5pBYQCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_141745978.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-aSM4tFf5pxU/V10DmdlJG8I/AAAAAAAABXQ/AUbEviEQb_kwnvMzuNPrA1YM_t7Q5pBYQCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_141745978.jpg" width="242" /></a></div>
<br />
After Tapas, Waldo was sleepy. He pulled out his sleeping bag to nap, but I told him we had to continue on. In our haste to leave, he left his sleeping bag behind.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--5poi3KEz40/V10GFs0w9nI/AAAAAAAABXg/mj1PhjJMSh0Q9CEakgSoEYZbT6YgHOh0ACLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_141847900.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--5poi3KEz40/V10GFs0w9nI/AAAAAAAABXg/mj1PhjJMSh0Q9CEakgSoEYZbT6YgHOh0ACLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_141847900.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
As we were walking along, Waldo caught a magnificent scent. It turned out that we were walking past Lush. We wandered in and smelled a bunch of their bath bombs. Waldo decided to whip out his shovel and dig away at one of the bath bombs, but couldn't really crack them.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JCm13HZWi34/V10GN9bG9gI/AAAAAAAABXo/Xg8Ns97fB4QpN7dcFiIcEswAoHAItNFeACLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_142413435.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JCm13HZWi34/V10GN9bG9gI/AAAAAAAABXo/Xg8Ns97fB4QpN7dcFiIcEswAoHAItNFeACLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_142413435.jpg" width="198" /></a></div>
<br />
It ended up getting stuck and he had to leave it behind.<br /><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oopzvKEFSB8/V10GVvjercI/AAAAAAAABXw/Mqunp859UI45rZ-Y76QHNt1PUJb6z7rXwCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_142455608.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-oopzvKEFSB8/V10GVvjercI/AAAAAAAABXw/Mqunp859UI45rZ-Y76QHNt1PUJb6z7rXwCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_142455608.jpg" width="249" /></a></div>
After that we wanted to go take a look at the ocean. Walking the promenade, we stopped to take a look as the water-planes were taking off.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7YoniWprJ_c/V10Gfgj-fHI/AAAAAAAABX4/_4emniMQTzku70oprkPrFUoa61VQhhmhgCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_143838738.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7YoniWprJ_c/V10Gfgj-fHI/AAAAAAAABX4/_4emniMQTzku70oprkPrFUoa61VQhhmhgCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_143838738.jpg" width="190" /></a></div>
<br />
Waldo took off his backpack to get a better look up on the rail. When he climbed back down, he just forgot to put it back on.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qMC10cX0vME/V10KyEcpvpI/AAAAAAAABYI/ebD50JDu64UwHXDpt2MieIqrxOyeNlkfwCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_144158679.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qMC10cX0vME/V10KyEcpvpI/AAAAAAAABYI/ebD50JDu64UwHXDpt2MieIqrxOyeNlkfwCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_144158679.jpg" width="264" /></a></div>
<br />
As we continued walking along, we came across the statues that I yarnbombed back <a href="http://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.ca/2011/06/international-yarn-bombing-day-morning.html" target="_blank">for the very first International Yarnbombing day in 2011</a>. I explained to Waldo how I had turned the statues into Katamari characters. He wanted to take a picture with the statues to commemorate the yarnbombing.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XTqvWlgGvZA/V10K_9ltDxI/AAAAAAAABYY/AIFYYc26n9o9HSwbRBqa4MduB7scobwMACLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_144446521.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="232" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XTqvWlgGvZA/V10K_9ltDxI/AAAAAAAABYY/AIFYYc26n9o9HSwbRBqa4MduB7scobwMACLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_144446521.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
He ended up leaving his camera there though, so I guess I won't be getting those pictures.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u8am93S55D4/V10LJsvdNBI/AAAAAAAABYg/sPI19lvng8IQPiUXPCqOgSv2bEKuavTFQCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_144637973.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-u8am93S55D4/V10LJsvdNBI/AAAAAAAABYg/sPI19lvng8IQPiUXPCqOgSv2bEKuavTFQCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_144637973.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
On our way back downtown, we passed a lot of construction. Waldo decided that he could really help the workers out as they weren't working on a Saturday.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dhul_rY26AU/V10LQMiB6rI/AAAAAAAABYo/L1a2qEcKp8M2o5UYr9yuem-HpWrBkbY7ACLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_145139423.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dhul_rY26AU/V10LQMiB6rI/AAAAAAAABYo/L1a2qEcKp8M2o5UYr9yuem-HpWrBkbY7ACLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_145139423.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
He lost track of his mallet before he could really fix anything however.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dQ9gHl6Q7r4/V10LV4DyeGI/AAAAAAAABYw/pRcNIydgCMY_xeKCfVd4ls2F7q3fmYOmgCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_145349884.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-dQ9gHl6Q7r4/V10LV4DyeGI/AAAAAAAABYw/pRcNIydgCMY_xeKCfVd4ls2F7q3fmYOmgCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_145349884.jpg" width="188" /></a></div>
<br />
Suddenly! Waldo and I ended up in London!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oBYT8AuONXI/V10LaDlOsHI/AAAAAAAABY8/eLKqztPlm2M07FshbnEUGlusZ9gIS9g2ACLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_151311757.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oBYT8AuONXI/V10LaDlOsHI/AAAAAAAABY8/eLKqztPlm2M07FshbnEUGlusZ9gIS9g2ACLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_151311757.jpg" width="193" /></a></div>
<br />
Just kidding. We were just in Nootka Court, where there is an English style phone box. Waldo decided to try it out, as everyone uses cell phones nowadays. He took off his bag while he was in there and didn't grab it on his way out.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MqhoxTRc0gg/V10Lhy500pI/AAAAAAAABZI/KH1Q8psEzxgD_42Ebh1NDuarlFpNt_6zwCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_151347340.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MqhoxTRc0gg/V10Lhy500pI/AAAAAAAABZI/KH1Q8psEzxgD_42Ebh1NDuarlFpNt_6zwCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_151347340.jpg" width="203" /></a></div>
<br />
Also while in Nootka Court, we checked out the beautiful totem pole they have in the garden.<br />
Waldo didn't realize his belt had come off now that it wasn't holding up all his various tools.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wxZ50fR8rQE/V10Lp93OYII/AAAAAAAABZQ/EywWf3Ir4GknQlgdM6R_47Y3mym2Vg4rwCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_151626733.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wxZ50fR8rQE/V10Lp93OYII/AAAAAAAABZQ/EywWf3Ir4GknQlgdM6R_47Y3mym2Vg4rwCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_151626733.jpg" width="206" /></a></div>
<br />
The belt was left behind as well.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C-STu4lbLkw/V10L0xULntI/AAAAAAAABZc/x6p5lxgrgewpEK7f0022S7T6_ahgPs7TgCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_151731978.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C-STu4lbLkw/V10L0xULntI/AAAAAAAABZc/x6p5lxgrgewpEK7f0022S7T6_ahgPs7TgCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_151731978.jpg" width="253" /></a></div>
<br />
With only his walking stick left in his possession, the Bug Zoo caught Waldo's eye.<br />
I mentioned to him that they would definitely have walking stick bugs in there. He wanted to compare the two so we did.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-25KCrmKpA1U/V10L6urOoyI/AAAAAAAABZo/9LsIjtrE1zU5t_B4iGKMZkmyjdkTAeBRwCLcB/s1600/IMG_20160611_152023823.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="243" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-25KCrmKpA1U/V10L6urOoyI/AAAAAAAABZo/9LsIjtrE1zU5t_B4iGKMZkmyjdkTAeBRwCLcB/s320/IMG_20160611_152023823.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
His walking stick was pretty much as big as a real walking stick insect.<br /><br />
In his haste at comparing the two however, Waldo ended up leaving his walking stick behind at the bug zoo.<br />

<br />
With no accoutrements left, Waldo and I decided to head on home.<br />
We traveled by bus and as my stop approached, I thought Waldo was with me, but alas, he remained on the bus.<br />

<br />
Where's Waldo now??<br />
<br />
All in all, it was a really fun day full of great adventure. I hope you had fun looking for Waldo too.<br />
Happy International Yarnbombing day for 2016!<br />

I don't really care what occasion, it just seems like a great way to come up with a theme to yarnbomb.<br />
<br />
This year, I started early on easter eggs and managed to make 11! (I have so much school going on right now, it's hard to get any crafting done)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MBkV5XGSdT4/VvguTyVwTqI/AAAAAAAABUY/Trn_SVo2stUEaKv8FZNVVV2ablVwHlUEw/s1600/EE%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MBkV5XGSdT4/VvguTyVwTqI/AAAAAAAABUY/Trn_SVo2stUEaKv8FZNVVV2ablVwHlUEw/s320/EE%2B1.jpg" width="262" /></a></div>
<br />
I decided to leave them around a local park for the kids. The weather hasn't been that great, so I was worried about them getting wet, but it's been reasonably dry today. I'm going to go back to the park after easter weekend is over to see if any of the eggs remain.<br />
<br />
I tagged a couple of them with my url, so that people could maybe come read about the eggs!<br />
<br />
The first one I hid was this bright yellow one, on the tennis court.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QCwwVbUnDGM/Vvgu0xqS8lI/AAAAAAAABUc/6BW0p6ak5rs79XGb7fmrcOsqvjfsrS7FQ/s1600/ee%2Btennis%2B1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QCwwVbUnDGM/Vvgu0xqS8lI/AAAAAAAABUc/6BW0p6ak5rs79XGb7fmrcOsqvjfsrS7FQ/s320/ee%2Btennis%2B1.jpg" width="217" /></a></div>
<br />
It's like a tennis ball! But it really wouldn't work very well as a tennis ball.<br />
The next one I hid in a tree!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cKXXOBO_jh4/VvgvHSGR2eI/AAAAAAAABUk/m7yI88FZeYU7vscH2ACrU-qcib9zSgOYg/s1600/ee%2B2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cKXXOBO_jh4/VvgvHSGR2eI/AAAAAAAABUk/m7yI88FZeYU7vscH2ACrU-qcib9zSgOYg/s320/ee%2B2.jpg" width="195" /></a></div>
<br />
Cause that's where eggs come from right? :)<br />
<br />
Spot the egg in this one!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GQ4EdIUZ4L8/VvgvPzEXXiI/AAAAAAAABUo/68zOw_hs7vQNSeETKGabuVVpbeisBpDeQ/s1600/ee%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GQ4EdIUZ4L8/VvgvPzEXXiI/AAAAAAAABUo/68zOw_hs7vQNSeETKGabuVVpbeisBpDeQ/s320/ee%2B3.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
It's the same kind of colors as the climbing-go-round.<br />
<br />
Cute teeter tooter and swing set eggs<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I put one in this strange digging dish. You can see the hand digger in the background.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I don't know if you can put the ground dirt in the dish with the digger, but those digger's were super fun when I was a kid.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Here it is in the wheel (tire?) swing!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I really enjoy this cute lil bench one.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Lastly, this rail egg. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Technically, there are two eggs in this picture :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Well, that's about it! I had fun leaving these eggs all over the park! I hope they found happy homes. They were a blast to make too. Happy Bunny Chocolate Day!</div>

<br />
I didn't do anything for IYBD and in fact forgot it was happening until after the date had passed. To be fair, I had mentioned it's overall decline last year.<br />
And at Fibrations, I set up some lovely pinions, but no yarn bombs (the pinions were bombed tho, fabric, and looked most excellent). I did make a small felt Calcifer, from Howl's Moving Castle for a small child tho! That's kinda like a yarn bomb!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o_OGja18I6w/VnP7BnsInFI/AAAAAAAABT8/lWKdk5XEbdY/s1600/IMG_4747.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o_OGja18I6w/VnP7BnsInFI/AAAAAAAABT8/lWKdk5XEbdY/s320/IMG_4747.JPG" width="239" /></a><br />
(to be honest, I couldn't quite remember what he looked like. I was just thinking, fire with eyes)<br />
<br />
I still crochet tho! As indicated by the Groot I made, as well as my "procrastination blanket"<br />
Basically, instead of studying for exams or writing my paper, I clean... but when I have cleaned most things, I crochet. Thus I started making hundred of square motifs for....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UIRNMTvRHsA/VnPyRb_RCiI/AAAAAAAABSY/GBZPZnDDJ80/s1600/Screenshot%2B2015-12-18%2B03.40.23.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="319" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UIRNMTvRHsA/VnPyRb_RCiI/AAAAAAAABSY/GBZPZnDDJ80/s320/Screenshot%2B2015-12-18%2B03.40.23.png" width="320" /></a></div>
My Portal Turret blanket!<br />
<br />
This is just the turret part. I plan on having a whole blanket part surrounding it. It's gonna be huge! This is a hundreds upon hundreds of squares project.<br />
<br />
<br />
Perfect for procrastinating!<br />
I will still keep you posted on my amazing crochet works. I hope to still do more yarn bombing in the future, or Soft Sculpture as someone has recently coined my works, and maybe you'll see my yarn bomb esque stuff in an art gallery some day,<br />
I've really gotten into felting and other fiber arts, like cross stitch and general embroidery. I'm a Spencer of all trades one might say, when it comes to fiber art. Now to learn spinning! -laughs-Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-77248628369791511702015-07-10T04:20:00.000-07:002015-12-18T04:22:17.778-08:00Summer time fun time at the beachYou know how much I love yarn bombing rocks and spider webs down by the beach, so this summer down there with my new love, I did a couple.<br />
<br />
Here's a pretty blue rock<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r2oFibQ7ppg/VnP5_5UHDiI/AAAAAAAABTw/PfXyJQQab9w/s1600/IMG_4534.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-r2oFibQ7ppg/VnP5_5UHDiI/AAAAAAAABTw/PfXyJQQab9w/s320/IMG_4534.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
(look at those gorgeous mountains!)<br />
<br />
And here is a pretty purple spider web<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-drPgjDARCc4/VnP562UI-lI/AAAAAAAABTk/YPnsMcvzQ1k/s1600/IMG_4515.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-drPgjDARCc4/VnP562UI-lI/AAAAAAAABTk/YPnsMcvzQ1k/s320/IMG_4515.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And here is the two colors combined on a stick cover, that was part of a shelter someone had built on the beach.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-x0b3rJTE7Eg/VnP5x5XjH4I/AAAAAAAABTY/9nTeSXTTNAU/s1600/IMG_4507.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-x0b3rJTE7Eg/VnP5x5XjH4I/AAAAAAAABTY/9nTeSXTTNAU/s320/IMG_4507.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
It was a nice little hut. I added the web here too and dropped the rock near it.<br />
We spent the day hanging out at the beach. It was so much fun!<br />
It was also nice to do a little yarn bombing again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0Capital, BC, Canada48.407340323987007 -123.3614659309387248.406022823987009 -123.36398743093872 48.408657823987006 -123.35894443093872tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-45537313702414041372015-07-03T13:00:00.000-07:002015-12-18T03:57:37.020-08:00Gyarados hatRemember the <a href="http://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.ca/2012/02/who-doctor-thats-who.html" target="_blank">Ood hat</a> that I made?<br />
<br />
Well now there's the Gyarados hat!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ne-3KeTORBI/VnPz7qQb3CI/AAAAAAAABSk/FAAsdekmg-k/s1600/IMG_4455.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ne-3KeTORBI/VnPz7qQb3CI/AAAAAAAABSk/FAAsdekmg-k/s320/IMG_4455.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
I started making it for a friend, but they turned out to be a douche canoe, so I finished it and have been trying to sell it at craft fairs.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fGovIlTHq2A/VnP0V88EELI/AAAAAAAABTI/0uNCZlE3yvQ/s1600/IMG_4467.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fGovIlTHq2A/VnP0V88EELI/AAAAAAAABTI/0uNCZlE3yvQ/s320/IMG_4467.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(My summer table at a local craft fair)</div>
<br />
People like it! But no takers yet. I love this hat, but do not live in a climate where it would be used very often. It's nice here.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OaFxRwGJl-w/VnP0Nx_-CII/AAAAAAAABS8/aV69NXA46vc/s1600/IMG_4462.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-OaFxRwGJl-w/VnP0Nx_-CII/AAAAAAAABS8/aV69NXA46vc/s320/IMG_4462.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
But still, I am very proud of this Pokemon Gyarados hat.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-4558026953960611592015-02-06T13:30:00.000-08:002015-12-18T03:39:38.774-08:00I am Groot!Not really a yarn bomb, but I made this wonderful yarn Groot for a friend.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VWAURiqUSrQ/VnPwK1QbtCI/AAAAAAAABSM/Gxbzsa-4k74/s1600/Screenshot%2B2015-12-18%2B03.37.42.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VWAURiqUSrQ/VnPwK1QbtCI/AAAAAAAABSM/Gxbzsa-4k74/s320/Screenshot%2B2015-12-18%2B03.37.42.png" width="319" /></a></div>
<br />
If only this one danced around!<br />
Kinda made it up on my own, kinda looked at what other people were doing. As always, it's an amalgamation and I suck at reading patterns :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-13218034405580902382014-08-23T17:00:00.000-07:002015-12-18T03:34:46.767-08:00Fibrations! 2014Admittedly, I have been falling behind in my yarn bombing.<br />
<br />
Between school and become interested in making bigger or more themed things, as opposed to the small or abstract yarn bombs I have previously been doing. I want to do more things like the picnic I did for INYBD.<br />
But that takes time and resources, which is getting harder as school goes on ( more and more work load).<br />
<br />
So technically this isn't a yarnbomb, but I did take my new Mario Mushroom 8-bit blanket to Fibrations to show it off!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sFEjFqGtq50/VnPuoflIbLI/AAAAAAAABSA/Fj7ObUV4JEQ/s1600/Screenshot%2B2015-12-18%2B03.30.58.png" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="319" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sFEjFqGtq50/VnPuoflIbLI/AAAAAAAABSA/Fj7ObUV4JEQ/s320/Screenshot%2B2015-12-18%2B03.30.58.png" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
Some other people took pictures of it too, so I think it was well received.<br />
<br />
The festival itself was super fun. I wandered around, talked with Dela, had some free tea. It was great.<br />
I can't wait for next year!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-8843392387605433472014-06-13T15:00:00.000-07:002015-12-18T03:25:25.014-08:00International Yarnbombing Day 2014Hello! And welcome to another amazing edition of International Yarn Bombing Day!!!<br />
<br />
I will admit, this event is getting less and less attention as the years go by, but I still enjoy doing it! 2011 was my first year, where I just tagged a dozen things. Then the next year, 2012 was the epic picnic! Then 2013 was the Adventure time piece in the park, and this year is....<br />
<br />
<br />
Pokemon!<br />
<br />
Ok, so I originally wanted to do the original 150 Pokemon! But that got hard really quick with school and relationships and everything else life throws at you, so here's the 16 or so Pokemon I did make, and some pokeballs.<br />
<br />
First there is Cubone in the grass<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3nLBKb9LqoY/VnPn81dbS9I/AAAAAAAABNs/pIernLSr4dY/s1600/Cubone%2B%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3nLBKb9LqoY/VnPn81dbS9I/AAAAAAAABNs/pIernLSr4dY/s320/Cubone%2B%25281%2529.JPG" width="258" /></a><br />
<br />
Then Diglett and Dugtrio in the dirt so they can dig around!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Zv6jt75qcaA/VnPoIGhlHzI/AAAAAAAABN4/OPZJTN-Y5gc/s1600/Diglett%2B%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8c6I82sRdq8/VnPoK9rS7LI/AAAAAAAABOE/v4yPTR4UZmo/s1600/Dugtrio%2B%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8c6I82sRdq8/VnPoK9rS7LI/AAAAAAAABOE/v4yPTR4UZmo/s320/Dugtrio%2B%25284%2529.JPG" width="286" /></a><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Zv6jt75qcaA/VnPoIGhlHzI/AAAAAAAABN4/OPZJTN-Y5gc/s320/Diglett%2B%25286%2529.JPG" width="244" /><br />
<br />
Then Electrode was looking for electricty at this lamp post<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PdOfDn7tHGM/VnPoaJ_6bpI/AAAAAAAABOQ/zYQEEy1ELQE/s1600/Electrode%2Bbest.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PdOfDn7tHGM/VnPoaJ_6bpI/AAAAAAAABOQ/zYQEEy1ELQE/s320/Electrode%2Bbest.JPG" width="239" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
These Exeggcute are just looking for some fun<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BYa02yR8YWw/VnPoj68XUcI/AAAAAAAABOc/XQamnGP4IfU/s1600/exeggcute%2B%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BYa02yR8YWw/VnPoj68XUcI/AAAAAAAABOc/XQamnGP4IfU/s320/exeggcute%2B%25281%2529.JPG" width="255" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
Ghastly is just hanging around this tree<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yfEGJhXrQkU/VnPosAFMLkI/AAAAAAAABOo/dbhbKPD4BPE/s1600/Gastly%2Bbest.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yfEGJhXrQkU/VnPosAFMLkI/AAAAAAAABOo/dbhbKPD4BPE/s320/Gastly%2Bbest.JPG" width="227" /></a><br />
<br />
Grimer is happiest where there is garbage and gunk<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0X-C-pDtVXo/VnPo_KYACPI/AAAAAAAABPA/94UO4krbVHw/s1600/Grimer%2Bbest.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0X-C-pDtVXo/VnPo_KYACPI/AAAAAAAABPA/94UO4krbVHw/s320/Grimer%2Bbest.JPG" width="225" /></a><br />
<br />
Jigglypuff will sing to you as you relax in the park<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q9Uq-bdIyTY/VnPpH70gqDI/AAAAAAAABPM/F4ZPJY331XY/s1600/Jigglypuff%2B%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q9Uq-bdIyTY/VnPpH70gqDI/AAAAAAAABPM/F4ZPJY331XY/s320/Jigglypuff%2B%25283%2529.JPG" width="275" /></a><br />
<br />
Koffing is hanging around outside the Men's room, enjoying the weird smells emanating from within<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1WvcksraYpE/VnPpjCD4dRI/AAAAAAAABPY/swFpaHheFJg/s1600/Koffing%2B%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1WvcksraYpE/VnPpjCD4dRI/AAAAAAAABPY/swFpaHheFJg/s320/Koffing%2B%25284%2529.JPG" width="300" /></a><br />
<br />
Magickarp doesn't do so well outside of water, so I put them in the water fountain<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oZXBc93faFM/VnPpwDDaynI/AAAAAAAABPk/xlOS60RxO8k/s1600/Magikarp%2B%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="319" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oZXBc93faFM/VnPpwDDaynI/AAAAAAAABPk/xlOS60RxO8k/s320/Magikarp%2B%25284%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
Ninetails was just prancing around the field<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-U7JeZLt8tZo/VnPp5ZY5vhI/AAAAAAAABPw/1aLM6gtXM0A/s1600/ninetails%2B%25283%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="277" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-U7JeZLt8tZo/VnPp5ZY5vhI/AAAAAAAABPw/1aLM6gtXM0A/s320/ninetails%2B%25283%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
Tiny Oddish!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-idv_IlAOCW8/VnPp_-r-U6I/AAAAAAAABP8/B4nybrWXrzM/s1600/Oddish%2B%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-idv_IlAOCW8/VnPp_-r-U6I/AAAAAAAABP8/B4nybrWXrzM/s320/Oddish%2B%25285%2529.JPG" width="255" /></a><br />
(their little leaves were felt)<br />
<br />
Shellder needed a drink<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xfFdCrDushk/VnPqN2KSWcI/AAAAAAAABQI/fAj3ADR6X2s/s1600/Shellder%2B%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xfFdCrDushk/VnPqN2KSWcI/AAAAAAAABQI/fAj3ADR6X2s/s320/Shellder%2B%25286%2529.JPG" width="308" /></a><br />
<br />
Voltorb needed a jolt too!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VPGAAPKAbYs/VnPqXkcSW2I/AAAAAAAABQU/aSb9120DOE0/s1600/Voltorb%2B%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VPGAAPKAbYs/VnPqXkcSW2I/AAAAAAAABQU/aSb9120DOE0/s320/Voltorb%2B%25284%2529.JPG" width="239" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
One of my personal favorites was this adorable Weepingbell. I hung it from a tree!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-a6h13Qdnk5Q/VnPqlRd0J8I/AAAAAAAABQg/UGL-s63D1Wo/s1600/Weepinbell%2Bbest.JPG" imageanchor="1"></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jbmrjQN_eao/VnPqqK3JTmI/AAAAAAAABQs/9FCQVRv231s/s1600/Weepinbell%2B%25281%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jbmrjQN_eao/VnPqqK3JTmI/AAAAAAAABQs/9FCQVRv231s/s320/Weepinbell%2B%25281%2529.JPG" width="206" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Cc0GmWEF5g4/VnPqvijENgI/AAAAAAAABQ4/nxflFMFCe3A/s1600/Weepinbell%2B%25287%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Cc0GmWEF5g4/VnPqvijENgI/AAAAAAAABQ4/nxflFMFCe3A/s320/Weepinbell%2B%25287%2529.JPG" width="296" /></a><br />
<br />
And Weezing was hanging out with Koffing by the Women's room.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oQaw88BtB5Y/VnPq5JDneKI/AAAAAAAABRE/L5JL8Ixohb8/s1600/Weezing%2B%25284%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-oQaw88BtB5Y/VnPq5JDneKI/AAAAAAAABRE/L5JL8Ixohb8/s320/Weezing%2B%25284%2529.JPG" width="249" /></a><br />
<br />
I also made a Cloyster (which I kept cause it ended up looking epic and I seriously couldn't part with it) and several of the eveevolutions, that I ended up sending to a friend for their birthday.<br />
<br />
All of these pokemon were super small. Like, smaller than your hand in most cases, with Ninetails being the biggest (and taking freaking forever to make!)<br />
<br />
Here are some of the Pokeballs that I hid around too. I wanted them to be fun to find, like the Pokemon.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-k8MmfW7yhNc/VnPrZ2sRApI/AAAAAAAABRQ/M5RZS0gf6fQ/s1600/Pokeballs%2B%25286%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-k8MmfW7yhNc/VnPrZ2sRApI/AAAAAAAABRQ/M5RZS0gf6fQ/s320/Pokeballs%2B%25286%2529.JPG" width="239" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dHIfrSjWkXk/VnPrh8JAy7I/AAAAAAAABRo/wTB9u2-5RJQ/s1600/Pokeballs%2B%25289%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dHIfrSjWkXk/VnPrh8JAy7I/AAAAAAAABRo/wTB9u2-5RJQ/s320/Pokeballs%2B%25289%2529.JPG" width="239" /></a><br />
<br />
I wish I could have done more, but what I did do was super well received! There were all gone in no time. While some part of me is happy people like them enough to take them home, it would be nice if people left them for other people to enjoy.<br />
<br />
Feminist theories have really made yarn bombing difficult on so many levels. But I do so love making crochet things for people to enjoy!<br />
<br />
Bonus: Here is the Cloyster I kept<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NCcDuG733Hw/VnPtHeiwD9I/AAAAAAAABR0/-E3DYekNaoY/s1600/Screenshot%2B2015-12-18%2B03.23.01.png" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NCcDuG733Hw/VnPtHeiwD9I/AAAAAAAABR0/-E3DYekNaoY/s320/Screenshot%2B2015-12-18%2B03.23.01.png" width="266" /></a><br />

I decided to go out for auditions as it were, and show the organizing committee my work.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Cv_9CV4zrMc/VnPjXuOrYpI/AAAAAAAABLk/iEyJKrtozVc/s1600/Screenshot%2B2015-12-18%2B02.42.40.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="197" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Cv_9CV4zrMc/VnPjXuOrYpI/AAAAAAAABLk/iEyJKrtozVc/s200/Screenshot%2B2015-12-18%2B02.42.40.png" width="200" /></a></div>
(My work for the committee that I showed at our meeting)<br />
<br />
I went with coral, because it's the west coast (do we have coral??) and because it looks cool to see urban objects (like bike racks and electrical boxes) covered in fluffy brightly coulored coral.<br />
<br />
I was approved and I decided to do two yarn bombs. One set up before the event and the other, a live installation.<br />
<br />
We'll, the installation of the before hand one went well.<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Tg88KUoTfDI/VnPjpoy7UtI/AAAAAAAABLw/7AxFDLfavpg/s1600/IMG_0386.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="181" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Tg88KUoTfDI/VnPjpoy7UtI/AAAAAAAABLw/7AxFDLfavpg/s320/IMG_0386.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
here are some pictures of it on the electrical power maintenance box.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cOTdnM1Vfco/VnPj4Ijzp5I/AAAAAAAABMI/0KHMDCzP4fM/s1600/IMG_0405.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cOTdnM1Vfco/VnPj4Ijzp5I/AAAAAAAABMI/0KHMDCzP4fM/s320/IMG_0405.JPG" width="235" /></a><br />
<br />
Don't worry, it's all safe. I didn't cover important parts of the box.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mQaBeaqiKes/VnPj_2Yr5HI/AAAAAAAABMg/9ZtV2HWuWvI/s1600/IMG_0397.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="203" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mQaBeaqiKes/VnPj_2Yr5HI/AAAAAAAABMg/9ZtV2HWuWvI/s320/IMG_0397.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
But sadly, the piece didn't even make it the whole event. I would have thought Integrates Arts Festival would have put more effort into maintaining it for the duration of the event, but sadly they did not.<br />
<br />
The live installation was worse.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cwhfvSOgahI/VnPkV85WV6I/AAAAAAAABNU/TEY14dxPfXM/s1600/IMG_0418.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="268" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cwhfvSOgahI/VnPkV85WV6I/AAAAAAAABNU/TEY14dxPfXM/s320/IMG_0418.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
(Tiny Finn from Adventure time! I was trying to make more characters, but I got distracted with coral for the other piece)<br />
<br />
It started raining as I was putting it up, so that impacted who would come, but worse, the festival organizers were supposed to bring the tour people around when I started and they never came. It was super disappointing.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BGw8O0YvPh4/VnPkO-qntqI/AAAAAAAABNE/lLS2AsUZcbM/s1600/IMG_0408.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BGw8O0YvPh4/VnPkO-qntqI/AAAAAAAABNE/lLS2AsUZcbM/s320/IMG_0408.JPG" width="304" /></a><br />
<br />
All in all, I wouldn't do the festival again. For how much energy I put in I didn't feel respected or a part of the festival at all.<br />
In fact, I felt really used.<br />
<br />
But I did do a really cool coral reef piece, my largest installation of coral yet! So that's something to be proud of!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0Downtown, Victoria, BC, Canada48.42652371637547 -123.3663153648376548.426194216375471 -123.36694586483765 48.42685321637547 -123.36568486483765tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-5821444905143411022013-08-18T22:59:00.001-07:002013-08-20T07:44:33.659-07:00Fibrations 2013Wow. It is hard to believe that this festival has been going on for three years. Each year it gets bigger and bigger.<br />
Although this year, while I saved up money to participate in the raffle, there wasn't really anything I wanted. Some vendors (while there were many new ones) weren't around this year.<br />
The good news was that my friend Danika got to come with me this year.<br />
You may remember the<a href="http://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.ca/2011/08/fibrations.html" target="_blank"> first year</a> at Fibrations and<a href="http://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.ca/2012/08/fibrations-2012.html" target="_blank"> last years</a>.<br />
<br />
So as you know, I have been SUPER busy working on my pieces for the Integrate Arts Festival happening this Friday. This meant that I didn't really have the time to work on anything for Fibrations. So I grabbed some spare swatches that I had been given and used that as an impromptu yarn bomb.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-c5waCJFiS7g/UhGw4fKgclI/AAAAAAAABHw/ky0WZg_iWb8/s1600/IMG_0376.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-c5waCJFiS7g/UhGw4fKgclI/AAAAAAAABHw/ky0WZg_iWb8/s1600/IMG_0376.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-c5waCJFiS7g/UhGw4fKgclI/AAAAAAAABHw/ky0WZg_iWb8/s1600/IMG_0376.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-c5waCJFiS7g/UhGw4fKgclI/AAAAAAAABHw/ky0WZg_iWb8/s320/IMG_0376.JPG" width="212" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This lovely swatch was created by the lovely Dela, and placed on this lovely tree by me.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NIZD_I8Pb1Q/UhGy_GvSlXI/AAAAAAAABH8/4Imi2JcVmk0/s1600/IMG_0380.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NIZD_I8Pb1Q/UhGy_GvSlXI/AAAAAAAABH8/4Imi2JcVmk0/s320/IMG_0380.JPG" width="275" /></a></div>
<br />
In the background of this one (this is all at St.Ann's Acedemy in Victoria BC), you can see this wonderful stone castle battleship thing that is simply imagination fuel. I enjoy it when ever I visit the acedemy.<br />
<br />
I love Fibrations. No where else can you see so many people into yarn and fiber crafts. Makes me want to be more apart of the yarn community.<br />

<br />
I must say, I have spent this summer doing summer things and not really yarn bombing.<br />
I have also spent my summer preparing for an arts festival that is happening at the end of summer. Now there are 9 days left until said art festival and I am mildly panicking, but that's for later.<br />
<br />
For now, I wanted to mention a few catch up things.<br />
Remember the <a href="http://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.ca/2011/11/third-of-november-day-3-of-21-day-of.html" target="_blank">spider yarn bomb</a>? Back on November 4th, 2011, I put that spider in a tree. It's still there! I walk past it most days. It is definitely not looking so good, but I'm not sure I could get it out of the tree right now if I wanted. Either way, it's nice to know that yarn bomb lasted.<br />
<br />
Remember the <a href="http://gmotherslegacy.blogspot.ca/2011/08/wasted-summer.html" target="_blank">camo pole yarn bomb</a>? in August of 2011, I put this camo sleeve on a pole in beacon hill park. And it is still there! The thing that gets me about this one is that it really is in plain view. You can see it form the park, and the street and it should be really obvious, but no one has noticed it. At one point, the pole even had a flyer attached to it, and yet when the flyer came down, the camo wrap did not. The colors have changed slightly, leaked away to being kind of pastel. I'll try to remember to take some pictures if I go past it again to get tacos.<br />
<br />
Also, here are some small fun little yarnbombs that I have done in the last couple months.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

BIG NEWS! I was featured as a top yarn bombing on MSN's living page thingy. Here let me <a href="http://living.msn.com/home-decor/diy-decorating/25-brilliant-yarn-bombing-ideas#6" target="_blank">link to it </a>rather than try to explain. Anyway, my 2012 IYBD bomb is listed as being one of 25 brilliant yarn bombing ideas. That means a lot to me since I didn't think it was too strongly received when I first did it. But now it's getting crazy acclaim so I feel really good about that. Check it out, and the other yarn bombs if you get the chance.<br />
<br />
Lastly, on August 23rd and 24th, I will be participating in the <a href="http://integratearts.ca/" target="_blank">Integrates Art Festival </a>in Victoria BC. Come down town to Broad street to see some of my amazing yarn bombs in live action! This is the biggest thing I have been apart of yet, and really hop it invites me to new artistic opportunities. I hope to see you there!<br />
<br />
Cheers!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-62430525906869311102013-06-08T10:39:00.000-07:002013-06-08T10:39:45.748-07:00Happy International Yarnbombing Day 2013!It's that time of year again.<br />
For the 3rd year in a row, I have done IYBD!<br />
The first year, it was a large collection of yarnbombs spread all over the city. I basically used all my scraps and unbombed pieces in one big go from my house to my work.<br />
<br />
The second year I did that huge picnic set up, as well as a couple pole bombs and flower vines.<br />
The picnic blanket and food spread all over the table took me like 8 months worth of work. It was probably my biggest yarnbomb to date.<br />
<br />
This year, I was going for flare over size.<br />
I wanted to do something fandom-y, as I really like a lot of fandoms and geeky things.<br />
<br />
So I decided to go with Adventure Time.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_z73TG8Ofnw/UbNrV-VF3mI/AAAAAAAABF0/EcBQHpnwZdE/s1600/Adventure+time+yarnbomb+006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_z73TG8Ofnw/UbNrV-VF3mI/AAAAAAAABF0/EcBQHpnwZdE/s320/Adventure+time+yarnbomb+006.JPG" width="248" /></a></div>
<br />
If you're not familiar, it's a cartoon show. I would say for kids, as I do know kids who enjoy it, but it has an odd sense of humor and a kind of nostalgia that appeals to an older generation.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jecpviCH0tc/UbNreXgR-dI/AAAAAAAABF8/rwMQvUgJFpY/s1600/Adventure+time+yarnbomb+008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="268" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jecpviCH0tc/UbNreXgR-dI/AAAAAAAABF8/rwMQvUgJFpY/s320/Adventure+time+yarnbomb+008.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The base of the bomb is Lady Rainicorn.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wCY9dF63jN4/UbNriD7exUI/AAAAAAAABGE/uurjzQZVJ68/s1600/Lady+Rainicorn+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wCY9dF63jN4/UbNriD7exUI/AAAAAAAABGE/uurjzQZVJ68/s320/Lady+Rainicorn+1.JPG" width="265" /></a></div>
<br />
Flying on her back as they soar above Ooo, are Princess Bubblegum,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />

Jake the Dog,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Finn the Human,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cpjHyeg8eFQ/UbNrptVxCgI/AAAAAAAABGg/a7ypfYEBEJQ/s1600/Finn+the+Human+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cpjHyeg8eFQ/UbNrptVxCgI/AAAAAAAABGg/a7ypfYEBEJQ/s320/Finn+the+Human+1.JPG" width="259" /></a></div>
<br />
BeeMO,<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7VRmuFQvT5k/UbNroFJEK1I/AAAAAAAABGU/yS0ltFttoa8/s1600/BeeMO+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7VRmuFQvT5k/UbNroFJEK1I/AAAAAAAABGU/yS0ltFttoa8/s320/BeeMO+1.JPG" width="286" /></a></div>
<br />
And Marceline the Vampire Queen.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CE1hJGNTZ9M/UbNrqG_NjUI/AAAAAAAABGw/9KpJNC0uMZk/s1600/Marceline+the+Vampire+Queen+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CE1hJGNTZ9M/UbNrqG_NjUI/AAAAAAAABGw/9KpJNC0uMZk/s320/Marceline+the+Vampire+Queen+1.JPG" width="230" /></a></div>
<br />
I put this up in the playground down the street from my house. It's close to the road too, so hopefully people see it.<br />
I expect it to get mangled and taken home really quick tho. The amigurumi dolls of the characters are pretty detailed and not attached over well. I hope they end up in good homes in the end.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8Q2_zoz0V_E/UbNsATqOH_I/AAAAAAAABG0/72e6UP8z75g/s1600/Adventure+time+yarnbomb+015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8Q2_zoz0V_E/UbNsATqOH_I/AAAAAAAABG0/72e6UP8z75g/s320/Adventure+time+yarnbomb+015.JPG" width="270" /></a></div>
<br />
Well, this has been another fun IYBD. I didn't see as much hype (or really anything) about it this year, so hopefully others have done great projects too and I will see them today.<br />
<br />
Have a great rest of your International Yarnbombing Day! Anyways, recently, she realized she had breast cancer, went through the whole process of a mastectomy and is now back at work.<br />
I wanted to do something for her to show her that I appreciate her and value her. So I decided to yarn bomb her.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Vrh5eAwuMCA/UY6vS3q1Q3I/AAAAAAAABFE/xSA3CXSxcjw/s1600/Sarah's+boobs+1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Vrh5eAwuMCA/UY6vS3q1Q3I/AAAAAAAABFE/xSA3CXSxcjw/s320/Sarah's+boobs+1.JPG" width="228" /></a></div>
<br />
Or rather, yarn boob her :)<br />Those are the chocolate bars I decided to buy as well xD<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-C-OkUumL0v4/UY6yrWg6aNI/AAAAAAAABFU/58wT82mzvZw/s1600/Sarah's+boobs+2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-C-OkUumL0v4/UY6yrWg6aNI/AAAAAAAABFU/58wT82mzvZw/s320/Sarah's+boobs+2.JPG" width="271" /></a></div>
<br />
I stuffed these 6 boobs into my hoodie and then unzipped my jacket to dump them all on her desk.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Rt9eSrP8_8A/UY6yzusl4EI/AAAAAAAABFc/3UJKrHEfxpU/s1600/Sarah's+boobs+5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Rt9eSrP8_8A/UY6yzusl4EI/AAAAAAAABFc/3UJKrHEfxpU/s320/Sarah's+boobs+5.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
Here's Fergus enjoying a boob!<br />
She smiled so much and was so excited by them!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3UEX_B6j_-M/UY6y8HiTQkI/AAAAAAAABFk/HvJKdv_ltKk/s1600/Sarah's+boobs+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3UEX_B6j_-M/UY6y8HiTQkI/AAAAAAAABFk/HvJKdv_ltKk/s320/Sarah's+boobs+3.JPG" width="262" /></a></div>
<br />
She seems to be doing really good and it was super nice to see her after almost a month of not seeing her. Plus boobs, am I right? I think at one point, it indicated something about people crossing the 4 lanes of traffic there. A similar one is on the other side on the road, but it at least has a sign. This one was bare and naked.</div>
<div>
So I began to plot a pole covering. Then I got terribly distracted by school. The pole still bothered me, but I needed some kind of motivation to go and get it covered.</div>
<div>
I started hanging out with a friend of mine on campus, and she finally gave me the incentive to go and get the pole covered.</div>
<div>
On Thursday, we headed out in the beautiful sunshine to yarnbomb. It was like the weather wanted the pole covered too. So nice, warm and sunny.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m17_bWeZdVY/UXxFFDQQUOI/AAAAAAAABDU/8HUvMEjknQs/s1600/uvic+pole+yarnbomb+06.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m17_bWeZdVY/UXxFFDQQUOI/AAAAAAAABDU/8HUvMEjknQs/s320/uvic+pole+yarnbomb+06.JPG" width="141" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here's it beautifully covered.</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you look in the background of this one, you can see a deer! It was grazing near the pole as we approached, but ran off as we came over.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WKFPUdcbHAA/UXxFi1NvkUI/AAAAAAAABDk/fnXCvjTodf0/s1600/uvic+pole+yarnbomb+01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WKFPUdcbHAA/UXxFi1NvkUI/AAAAAAAABDk/fnXCvjTodf0/s320/uvic+pole+yarnbomb+01.JPG" width="218" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I had a lot of fun building this one. All the scrap pieces from this one are from my friend Dela. She dropped off a bunch of scrap yarn and swatches recently. It's like x-mas when she visits. So thank you Dela for making this piece possible.</div>

<br />
<br />
<br />
I made this infograph at <a href="http://infogr.am/">infogr.am</a><br />
I thought seeing how much I had accomplished in a certain amount of time would be really interesting to see. And it was! It was also fun to go back through my blog and count all the yarn bombs. I had to estimate, as some of the yarn bombs I have done I have not photographed and others come in multiple parts, so do you count them individually or as a whole? Not to mention, some of the yarn bombs I have done count only as one, but they were months and months of hard work and hours spent on them.<br />
<br />
So really, this graphic doesn't tell you a lot. Then again, that's what this blog is for tho; to tell you about all the yarn bombs this graph sums up in numbers with pictures and words.<br />
I hope this interested you, and maybe you'll wanna go back and look at all my yarnbombs too.<br />

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3y0g_gKPDwY/UXdlDbC2FGI/AAAAAAAABCs/bYCgss2lE2o/s1600/monkey+kcbw+002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="215" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3y0g_gKPDwY/UXdlDbC2FGI/AAAAAAAABCs/bYCgss2lE2o/s320/monkey+kcbw+002.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It may not look like it yet, but this weird flat looking thing will soon be a monkey!<br />I have spent all of Knitting and Crochet Blog Week so far working on my monkey mascot. I haven't had a chance to stuff him yet, but once I do, he will accompany me through the rest of my Knitting and Crochet Blog Week. Tomorrow me and my monkey will work on our infograph. I think I will try to do one about yarnbombing.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RplMmKr6h_Y/UXdlGGl6ASI/AAAAAAAABC0/XtmVIx8Y4Rw/s1600/monkey+kcbw+001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="201" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RplMmKr6h_Y/UXdlGGl6ASI/AAAAAAAABC0/XtmVIx8Y4Rw/s320/monkey+kcbw+001.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I decided to make the monkey mascot in the colors that <a href="http://www.eskimimimakes.com/" target="_blank">Eskimimi</a> has in the pictures of the different houses. I saw them as Blue(ish), white and yellow. So I tried to incorporate that into the theme of making my mascot.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JzzwKOKd3kM/UXdlKqXYZ7I/AAAAAAAABC8/X8C55BhzhCs/s1600/monkey+kcbw+004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="214" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JzzwKOKd3kM/UXdlKqXYZ7I/AAAAAAAABC8/X8C55BhzhCs/s320/monkey+kcbw+004.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Once Knitting and Crochet Blog Week is over, I will yarn bomb my mascot friend somewhere where he will be enjoyed by people. Perhaps that can be my extra credit assignment.<br />
<br />
I hope you all enjoy my attempt at a monkey mascot.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-44173876852386162842013-04-22T09:21:00.000-07:002013-04-22T09:22:29.309-07:00Welcome to crochet and knitting blog week 2013!Hello everybody and welcome to an exciting time of year.<br />
If you are just tuning in now, we are in the middle of exciting times. Right now, crochet and knitters alike are dawning woolly hats and deciding what yarning House they will belong to.<br />
That's right folks, ripped straight from the pages of Harry Potter is a wonderful idea about 4 Houses to group like minded yarn artists.<br />
<br />
The 4 houses to chose from are Bee, Manatee, Monkey and Peacock.<br />
And I... -drum roll please- Am House Monkey!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LjhiyH2PwM0/UXVhlwh_3vI/AAAAAAAABCc/DodJQWll-1I/s1600/Kniting+and+crochet+blog+week+house+of+monkey.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LjhiyH2PwM0/UXVhlwh_3vI/AAAAAAAABCc/DodJQWll-1I/s320/Kniting+and+crochet+blog+week+house+of+monkey.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br /><br />The House of Monkey: Intelligent and with a fun loving side, Monkeys like to be challenged with every project presenting them with something new and interesting.<br /><br /><br /> I like to think this is me. While I may not always be working on a project you can bet when I am that it will involve new techniques or sheer creativity. I don't like following a pattern. I like looking at something and thinking, can I make that? And then trying! For me yarn craft is about exploration and experimentation. And above all, art. I just want my yarn bombs out there in the world making people happy.<br /><br /><br /> Also like a monkey, I often have to climb or move to unusual places to put my yarnbombs in exciting places. Recently, I had a friend climb a tree for me to place a yarn bomb. I think that;s something I would like to see myself doing in the future, although it is very nice to have help.<br /><br /><br /> I think if monkeys could knit or crochet, they would want to do yarn bombing too.<br /><br />Well, that's it for today! <br />
The <a href="http://www.eskimimimakes.com/2013/03/knitting-crcohet-blog-week-2013-join-in.html" target="_blank">4th annual Knitting and Crochet blog week</a> is happening soon! April 22nd to the 28th to be exact. 7 days of awesome crochet fun times awaits!<br />
<br />
I will just be done school then. So while I will only have a little while to think about what I want to do, I will at least have the time to get the week done.<br />
<br />
Anyway, it is something to look forward too. I hope you come back to see what I do for...<img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8253/8603356856_44e7142b6f.jpg" />!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8736216266387554757.post-79132699264429580552013-03-22T20:14:00.000-07:002013-03-22T20:14:48.635-07:00Finn up a TreeWhat time is it?!<br />
It's Adventure Time!<br />
Yes, that popular children's (what? Children's show? Have you seen it? I cannot believe it is a children's show) show has wormed its way into my heart.<br />
When I realized I could draw Adventure Time character, I was thrilled.<br />
But when I realized I could crochet them, I nearly died.<br />

<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-y0q-YkFPDwQ/UU0dbMQfVfI/AAAAAAAABB0/nc0D0XLmqrg/s1600/adventure+time+in+a+tree+015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-y0q-YkFPDwQ/UU0dbMQfVfI/AAAAAAAABB0/nc0D0XLmqrg/s320/adventure+time+in+a+tree+015.JPG" width="268" /></a></div>
<br />
I've made a few Adventure time amigurumi's, but this is the first one I've bombed.<br />

<br />
It's Finn! He's up a tree (like the strange 4th episode of season 5).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wapMQTeNHew/UU0djB0lU0I/AAAAAAAABCE/6_kY1ZO-0BA/s1600/adventure+time+in+a+tree+008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wapMQTeNHew/UU0djB0lU0I/AAAAAAAABCE/6_kY1ZO-0BA/s320/adventure+time+in+a+tree+008.JPG" width="284" /></a></div>
<br />
He's located at a local playground. I tried to put him just out of reach so his life span might be longer, but mostly I think he'll go home with some nice child.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rr-w5BGyxBI/UU0doh3QT2I/AAAAAAAABCM/5nc7R1p2vqY/s1600/adventure+time+in+a+tree+011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rr-w5BGyxBI/UU0doh3QT2I/AAAAAAAABCM/5nc7R1p2vqY/s320/adventure+time+in+a+tree+011.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I cannot wait to bomb the rest of the characters I have made.<br />
<br />
Funny side note, I have had to re-make Jake the Dog three times. The first time, friends of mine came over, and they thought that this one kid in their class (they teach grade school) would absolutely love it. So I let them have it and they gave it to him for Valentines day. Let's just say his grin was from ear to ear. The second one, another friend came over. This one however, didn't even know what Adventure Time was, but liked the "funny little dog", so I let him have it. And today, I finished making another one.<br />
<br />
So you have something to look forward to! Especially if you are both a yarnbombing and Adventure time fan!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com0James Bay, Victoria, BC, Canada48.417554534857636 -123.3789504827728448.416896034857636 -123.38021098277284 48.418213034857637 -123.37768998277284
